PVC-U profile producer, Spectus Window Systems, has signed five new fabricators, reinforcing its UK-wide reach as part of its fabricator acquisition strategy. Pure Frames, Fairfield Windows, IF Double Glazing and Bettaglaze are all taking Spectus’ flagship Elite 70 profile, while MacLeod Construction will be producing windows using Spectus’ industry-leading vertical slider profile. Speaking about his decision to become a Spectus fabricator, Iain MacAskill, contracts manager at Scotland’s MacLeod Construction, says: “Spectus’ vertical slider is widely known as the highest quality product on the market, but I don’t believe that Spectus has penetrated the Scottish market to its full potential yet. We want to change that.” Bettaglaze’s managing director Jeremy Cavey was originally buying Eurocell products, and decided to switch to Spectus as it has the most comprehensive range in casement windows and in line sliding patio doors in kit form, and also offers an essential windows accessories range, making the company a convenient one-stop-shop for fabricators. Jeremy is particularly impressed with the service he has received from Spectus throughout the tooling-up period, during which time Spectus also provides software solutions, and on-site technical assistance for its new fabricators. “Every single thing that the Spectus team said they’d do, they’ve done – and what’s more, they’ve done it on time. Moving to Spectus is one of the shrewdest business moves we’ve made,” he says. In addition to receiving extensive start up support, the new Spectus fabricators will also be eligible for Spectus’ Framework initiative, an exclusive marketing programme for Spectus’ fabricator customers that helps to market a business effectively to increase sales leads, increase brand awareness and drive demand. Spectus’ marketing manager, Joanna Plane, explains that combined with Spectus’ unrivalled products and foiling capabilities, this presents fabricators with a formidable package: “Fabricators know they’re getting the best when they come to Spectus, and this extends to everything from our product quality to our marketing support programme.” Spectus’ sales director, Chris Powell, concludes: “Fabricators know that, with our industry-leading production capabilities, we have the capacity to cope with substantial demands and volumes at competitive lead times, and our dedicated, GPS-monitored distribution fleet ensures timely delivery of our products to fabricators. Our in-house customer services division and team of field technicians are readily on-hand to provide our fabricator customers with advice on energy ratings, design, wind-loading and specification writing – we really do look after our fabricators and the fact that we’ve just signed five more is testament to that. We’re looking forward to integrating more new fabricators into our growing customer base.”
